Chain Lakes Day Hike

  • 298 West Laurel Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

Join us once a month throughout the summer as we explore Washington’s hiking trails!

On August 11th, experience the enchanting Chain Lakes Trail, a 6.5-mile loop in the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This moderately challenging route takes about 4 hours to complete.

Discover rock formations and stunning views of towering peaks, including Mount Shuksan, Mount Herman, and Table Mountain. The trail features serene blue lakes like Iceberg Lake and Bagley Lakes, offering campsites and sandy beaches for a relaxing swim.

Our Day Hikes, led by women for women, are barrier-free and free of charge, with transportation provided from downtown Bellingham. Limited to 10 participants, you'll have our Shifting Gears hike leads with you throughout the day for support.

The Chain Lakes Loop is a 6.5-mile round trip with an elevation gain of approximately 1,800’. As a united group, we embrace challenges, celebrate courage, and maintain a leisurely pace while enjoying breaks and scenic beauty.
