Shifting Gears provides an inclusive and informative environment for new riders to feel comfortable riding bikes on the roads of Whatcom County. We are here to adventure together, work through challenges, and celebrate every one of us for taking a chance to set out on an adventure together. 

Our journey will take us from Trackside in Downtown Bellingham to two farms north of Bellingham. A lovely, mostly flat, ~17-mile ride takes us to  Boxx Berry Farm and Barbie’s Berries! At each farm, we’ll have an hour to take a break, have a snack/lunch, collect some berries, and relax. Bring cash/card and containers with you if you plan on taking any home! After we visit each farm, we’ll take our time and head back to Trackside!
