Wild Women Paddle w/ the CBC

The Community Boating Center (CBC) and Shifting Gears have come together to offer weekly sunset paddles on Bellingham Bay.

Wild Women Paddles are free, but space is limited and registration is required.

When: Every Wednesday, 5:30-7:30 starting April 26, 2023.

Where: Meet at the Community Boating Center at 555 Harris Avenue, Bellingham

Who: This ride is for all women with a maximum of 12 participants, so pre-registration is required. Registration opens one week in advance of each paddle.

Why: This paddle is all about creating a community and taking down barriers within the sport of paddling. We want to create an inclusive and empowering environment that allows growth and joy.

What to Bring: CBC provides the kayak and safety equipment. We recommend wearing layers (not cotton!) and closed-toe shoes.

We're in this together and have a blast! If there's anything we can do or should know to help you have your best day on the water, let us know. Our number one goal is always: to have so much fun!

The Community Boating Center is located in Fairhaven at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal/Ferry Terminal. They have experienced staff that will lead the weekly sea kayaking adventures and provides the kayak and safety equipment.

Safety is our number one priority, running this tour at sunset requires experienced guides, good weather conditions, and mindful participants. We will cancel and refund or reschedule the tour if the conditions are not safe. Usually, we can anticipate conditions about 48 hours in advance but sometimes the conditions change just hours beforehand

Experience is not necessary, but be ready to be out on the water most of the two hours.
