Join Shifting Gears for a hands-on Ladies’ Ski Edge Sharpening & Waxing Workshop with Backcountry Essentials!

Whether you're new to tuning or looking to sharpen your skills, the professionals from the Backcountry Essentials Ski Shop will guide you through the essentials of ski maintenance: we will be covering edge sharpening and waxing techniques, and an experienced ski technician will be able to answer questions you have about your ski or snowboard maintenance. Learn how to keep your gear in top shape for the slopes this season, ensuring a smoother, faster ride!

Who: This workshop is capped at 8 participants, and is a hands-on learning experience that prepares folks to work on their own gear. It is open to all women, femme, non-binary identifying folks ages 18+ and is perfect for skiers/boarders of all levels.

What to bring: Bring your skis or a snowboard — all other materials are provided! We also recommend bringing snacks and a water bottle.

Safety considerations: Ski and snowboard edges are sharp and the wax is hot! Gloves and masks will be provided for participants to use during the workshop.
