Lake Padden Gravel Ride

Registration is closed and will open in May.

Join us for a Shifting Gears gravel ride as we explore scenic backroads and mixed-surface routes in a supportive, all-women environment. Like our road rides, these are no-drop group rides focused on building confidence, working through challenges, and enjoying the journey together. Expect a full day of riding at a relaxed pace, with mileage and terrain that may include rolling hills, packed gravel, light single track, and quiet rural roads. Come ready to learn, connect, and have fun while expanding your riding skills beyond the pavement.

This ~12 mile social ride starts at Stones Throw Brewery and rolls through scenic South Bellingham toward Lake Padden Park before looping back. Expect a relaxed, no-drop pace with a few steady climbs to the lake and rolling terrain throughout, totaling roughly 800 feet of elevation gain. This is perfect for beginners and those looking to dip their toes in gravel.

Any bike that can ride on hard packed gravel and well groomed single track trails is welcome. We will dapple on mixed surfaces on this ride but keep it approachable and fun.

More details can be found on our Road Ride website page.
