Gravel Ride - Cascade Trail

Registration is closed and will open in July.

Join us for a Shifting Gears gravel ride as we explore scenic backroads and mixed-surface routes in a supportive, all-women environment. Like our road rides, these are no-drop group rides focused on building confidence, working through challenges, and enjoying the journey together. Expect a full day of riding at a relaxed pace, with mileage and terrain that may include rolling hills, packed gravel, light single track, and quiet rural roads. Come ready to learn, connect, and have fun while expanding your riding skills beyond the pavement.

This scenic gravel ride begins in Sedro-Woolley and follows the Cascade Trail along the Skagit River, offering a relatively smooth double track through lush forest and farmland. The out-and-back route to Rasar State Park covers roughly 30 miles round trip with minimal elevation gain (200 ft), making it approachable for a wide range of riders. This is considered our Intermediate gravel ride. Expect a relaxed, social pace with beautiful river views, shaded stretches, and plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Any bike that can ride on hard packed gravel and well groomed single track trails is welcome. We will dapple on mixed surfaces on this ride but keep it approachable and fun.
