About Bellingham Bird Week: This event is a collaboration between Bird Bellingham, North Cascades Audubon Society (NCAS), and Shifting Gears as a part of Bellingham Bird Week. Bellingham Bird Week is being hosted by NCAS and Audubon Washington. NCAS and local community partners are creating a week of in-person events centered on celebrating our region’s birds. Your participation and excitement will help our city continue to be a welcoming home for birds! Bellingham Bird Week is taking place October 5-11, 2026. See the full list of events here.

Meeting Time: 9 am to 11 am

Meeting Location: We will be meeting in Whatcom Falls Park, using the park entrance at the Sunset Lane Parking lot of Whatcom Falls Park at 1401 Electric Avenue. This entrance is the one directly across from Lafeen's donuts, used to access the tennis court and bike pump-track. We will be meeting at a picnic table in the large lawn across from the tennis court.

Registration: This program in conjunction with Bird Bellingham and North Cascades Audubon Society (NCAS) is offered for free as a part of NCAS's goal to make all Bellingham Bird Week programming free and accessible to as many folks as possible.

What to Bring: Please bring along binoculars if you have them or any extra pairs to share with the group. Bring your coffee, a donut, and anything you need to stay comfortable for the duration of the bird walk. We will be on our feet outdoors for the entire duration of the program: dress for the weather!
