Join the Community Boating Center (CBC) and Shifting Gears for an evening on the water in celebration of Wild Women Week! From 4-6pm, come get salty with us for an evening paddle on Bellingham Bay. We anticipate a stellar sunset (weather permitting!). All women and skill levels are welcome!
This event is free, but space is limited, so please reserve your spot through the registration form.
Safety is our number one priority; running this tour at sunset requires experienced guides, good weather conditions, and mindful participants. We will cancel or reschedule the tour if the conditions are not safe. Usually, we can anticipate conditions about 48 hours in advance, but sometimes the conditions change just hours beforehand.
Experience is not necessary, but be ready to be out on the water most of the time!
We will provide you with a sea kayak and the necessary safety gear. Please dress in warm layers. We recommend synthetic or wool garments (no cotton!) and shoes you don't mind getting wet. You may bring your own kayak, but please email info@boatingcenter.org to confirm it meets our safety requirements. Vessels other than kayaks will not be allowed on this paddle.
