About this Program:

For those who have been backcountry skiing before, we are excited to offer a supportive, confidence-building environment where you can explore new terrain, connect with community, and expand your backcountry skillset. Our AMGA-trained guides choose terrain that aligns with the group’s goals and experience, sharing local knowledge, mentorship, and a joyful day of riding in our beloved Baker backyard. These guided tours are appropriate for intermediate or higher level backcountry skiers and riders.

Program Details:

You’ll meet your guide at the Heather Meadows Parking Lot adjacent to the Mount Baker Ski Area. After a brief orientation and gear check, you’ll head out for a full day of touring. Depending on conditions, expect your day to be 6-8 hours of touring with 2500-5000 ft of elevation gain and descent. The guides will facilitate a tour that meets the interests and ability level of the group.
