Self-Compassion Workshop

  • Marine Park 100 Harris Avenue Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

Self-compassion can be hard to practice in our culture, especially as women. In our society, we’re taught at an early age to be selfless and endlessly giving to others… which can lead to anxiety, burnout, compassion fatigue, depression, resentment, and a confused sense of self. No one can pour from an empty cup! Research by Brach, Germer & Neff shows that self-compassion can improve overall well-being and reduce cortisol levels in the body. All women are invited to join us for an hour-long workshop to learn and practice the basics of self-compassion. No registration is required.

This workshop is happening outside (Marine Park), so please dress accordingly! We encourage you to wear warm clothes and bring a blanket. We’ll have warm drinks ready for you!
