Plant Ecology Walk at Stimpson Nature Reserve

Join us for a guided, slow-paced plant walk at Stimpson Family Nature Reserve on Saturday, March 7 from 10–12. We’ll move leisurely along a short loop (1`.4 miles) of the trail, pausing often to learn how to identify 10–20 of the most common plants found in Bellingham’s forest ecosystems.

Along the way, we’ll talk about local ecology, unique plant features, the history of the area, and whatever curious questions arise. This walk is designed to be welcoming for beginners while still engaging for seasoned plant nerds who want to deepen their connection to the landscape. Rain or shine, expect a relaxed, conversational experience rooted in observation, learning, and appreciation of the forest.

This walk is for women/femme/non-binary identifying folks ages 18+.

Registration is required. Register Here.

Parking is limited. We recommend carpooling or taking the bus if you can!
